Creep Feeding – When Does it Pay? (Dan Larson)

Research data outlining the benefits and downfalls to feeding calves on a creep feeder. Economics should be the overall factor to use or not use creep feed. It should be used to add pounds to a calf when that weight is more valuable than the cost of feed and when it does not cause any long term negative impacts.

Lameness in the Breeding Herd (Luke Miller)

Hoof health should be considered in the breeding herd just as it is in the feedlot. Recommendations and strategies to maintain hoof health, identify problem areas, prevent negative factors from being a problem, and critical parts to a good prevention program.
